Brendan Schnurr is the owner of Big Fall Productions and has over 18 years of experience as a Jib Operator in Toronto and beyond. His career spans a variety of productions including live sports broadcasts, TV shows, concerts, feature films, corporate events, documentaries, commercials, music videos, and more.
Brendan’s credits include the Toronto Raptors playoffs, Toronto Maple Leafs games, The Bachelor Canada, Love It or List It, and Canada’s Drag Race. He has also worked on productions for brands such as Porsche, Ford, Volkswagen, and Walmart and artists including The Tragically Hip, Shawn Mendes, and Camila Cabello. Outside of his experience as a Toronto Jib Operator, Brendan has taken Big Fall Productions worldwide to cover the Olympic Games in both South Korea and China.
Big Fall Productions owns three Jimmy Jib Triangles with motorized pan/tilt heads. They run in lengths as short as 6’ and extend up to 40’. Each Jib is equipped with a 17” daylight viewable monitor and a base on wheels.
Big Fall Productions has a custom built off-road jib base — the only all-terrain Jimmy Jib base in Ontario. While the Stanton Jimmy Jib base can only wheel across paved surfaces, the all-terrain base has a width of 64” and its 15” wheels have the ability to travel across uneven terrain like gravel, dirt, grass and wet sand. It can be manoeuvred by hand or towed behind any vehicle with a trailer hitch.
Additionally, the company owns a portable power station (1300Wh) that can power the jib and monitor for up to 15 hours for remote shoots.
Brendan Schnurr is known for his work as the Toronto Jib Operator covering Jurassic Park at the Toronto Raptors Championships in 2019. He is driven by creativity and has an innovative outlook that makes every job a new adventure.

Recently, he modified the joystick controller to offer 5x the precision of Jib movement to enhance the fresh, dynamic shots he delivers.
Brendan graduated from Sheridan College in Oakville in 2007, where he studied Media Arts. He lives in Toronto with his wife and twin boys. When he isn’t working or taking care of his kids, he can be found chasing the wind and waves on any of the Great Lakes, fulfilling his passion for kitesurfing.
